Dragonflies … magickal?

Apologies if this is possibly a bit off topic (or shouldn’t be posted.). I was just out earlier with my pup and had the coolest thing happen! I feel a bit like a dragonfly whisperer. Lol. I always associate dragonflies with fae. I’m not certain if they actually are, but they seem magickal to me.

I had gone over near my spinach tree and a couple of dragonflies flew by chasing each other. One came back and landed on a branch near me. At the time I was still at least three foot from the tree and reached out my hand to see if it would land on it. My hand was still at least 6” from the dragonfly.

I was talking to it, telling it how beautiful it was (it was one that part of the body - back end - is blue). I kept inching a bit closer to see if it would hop onto my hand. A few times it would fly to another branch momentarily but kept coming back to the branch we’d started with. I could tell it was listening as it kept almost cocking it’s head at me.

But I kept saying how beautiful it was, that I would never hurt it, and I wondered if it could be one of my Fae, and how honored I’d be if it would hop onto my hand to say hello. (My fingers were touching the branch at that point so it could have taken a couple of steps and would have been on my hand.)

It never did step on (which would have been pretty amazing!) but that’s the closest I’ve ever gotten to a dragonfly. They really are beautiful (and magickal … at least to me), and seeing it so close and that it was listening to me was a beautiful way to start the morning! 😊💜
